Communication Skills, Leadership Development, and Teambuilding

The foundation of a healthy team dynamic is comprised of two primary elements, Authenticity & Trust.

To forge a healthy team, one must be committed to training and practice as it relates to both soft and hard skills. We specialize in those soft skills and function as a deep resource for those committed to building world-class teams and leaders.

The Developmental Roadmap

The best way of going about this is to combine the following:

1. Candid interview with the leader(s).

2. Proceed with the workshop series option that makes sense for your organization.

Option #1 – The Virtual Path

The First Workshop

This workshop focuses on communication skills while doubling as an assessment of the team dynamic. In it, the team will learn about communication preferences and experience a series of activities that surface both the positives and the negatives of the team dynamic.

As the workshop unfolds, leadership and team members alike gain perspective regarding how they respond to challenge, success, and conflict.

A typical timeline for this initial workshop is as follows:

0:00 Meet

0:02 Review the Rules and Objectives

0:10 Pairs Challenge fostering investment and curiosity

0:20  Communication Preferences Module

0:30 Preference Groups works to create memorandum of understanding

1:55 Preference Groups presentations

2:00 Begin Challenge & Reflection Activity Sequence

3:15 Breakouts for debrief

3:45 Summary Debrief

This initial workshop is followed by debrief with leader(s) 48 hours later. This debrief is used to determine the best course of action regarding a development plan.

The Workshop Series

These workshops build on the initial event by continuing to practice soft skills, collaboration, creative thinking, managing conflict, and delving into the developmental experience.

There is a long view to development, one that recognizes the need for both hard work and recreation. A proper development plan blends these two things together.

An example of a multi-session plan is as follows:

Session #1: Initial workshop (4 hours duration)

Session #2: Followup team meeting (2 hours duration)

Session #3: Essentials module (2 hours duration)

Session #4: Followup team meeting (2 hours duration)

Session #5: Advanced True Colors (2 hours duration)

Session #6: Teamplay Event (2 hours duration)

Session #7: Advanced Essentials Workshop (4 hours)

Every step of the way, participants are driving the exploration, the topics that surface, and directly driving the results of their investments in practice

Additionally, this series of events incorporates leadership meetings for assessment and adaptation to objectives throughout.

We do not script our work. It is a highly organic process. Our work is unique and tremendously powerful for every single participant.
